This policy explains what Otherworlds Media Group ("OMG," "we," "us," or "our") does and doesn't do with information when you visit this site or use one of our Channels.
The short version
We don't have user accounts. We don't collect your email address unless you send it to us yourself — for example, requesting a birthday shoutout. We don't know who you are otherwise. The only information we collect from just visiting or watching is basic technical telemetry needed to keep the Channels running, and even that isn't tied back to your actual IP address.
What we collect
Telemetry. To operate and maintain the Channels — diagnosing outages, understanding load, keeping the signal running — we collect basic technical telemetry when you access our services. This is handled through a double-blind process: your IP address is not stored or used in a form that could be traced back to you, by us or anyone else. We don't keep a table connecting a viewing session to a real IP address.
Email, only if you send us one. The one exception to "we don't collect email addresses": if you email us a birthday shoutout request, we obviously have your email address, since you sent it to us. We use it for exactly one thing — replying to that request. It isn't added to a list, used for marketing, or used to contact you about anything else.
Nothing beyond that. We don't collect names, physical addresses, or payment information. We don't require or offer account creation. We don't operate a mailing list or newsletter.
What we don't do
- We don't sell, rent, or trade any information to third parties.
- We don't build advertising profiles.
- We don't use tracking cookies to follow you across sites.
- We don't require accounts to watch any Channel directly through OMG.
Third-party platforms
Watching or installing a Channel happens through a third-party platform — currently the Roku Channel Store, and Patreon for OWTVault access. Those platforms have their own privacy practices, separate from ours, and collect whatever information they require to operate (a Roku account, a Patreon account and payment details, etc.). We don't see or control that information. Check those platforms' own privacy policies for how they handle your data.
Cookies
This site does not use cookies. None — not for tracking, not for functionality, not for anything else.
Children's privacy
Our site and Channels are not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from children. Since we don't collect personal information from anyone, this is largely moot in practice — but it's worth stating plainly given some Channel content isn't suitable for younger audiences either.
Data retention
Telemetry is retained only as long as needed to maintain and troubleshoot the Channels. Because it isn't tied to an identifiable person, there isn't a "delete my data" request to fulfill for telemetry — we don't have a record that maps back to you in the first place. Birthday shoutout emails are deleted once we've replied to them — we don't keep an archive of past requests.
Changes to this policy
If what we collect or how we handle it ever changes, we'll update this page and the effective date above.
